Brann's a Grand Rapids staple. The food is what you would expect it to be, well priced and constant. Dining area is familiar it hasn't changed since I was a kid. The staff makes the place! They make you feel welcome and are attentive to the small things like refills and extra napkins when you get elbow deep into your ribs or wings LOL I would suggest a visit with the family or for game day. Always a good time

Was out in Grand Rapids for the hunting expo last weekend. Rootbeer Rumchata, brilliant. Sweet potato, basic with cinnamon sugar and butter can't go wrong. Salad, I order a chopped steak salad. I asked for my meat cooked medium rare.. My meat had the texture of roast beef, it was pretty awful. My waitress however was very sweet. The place itself is more or less mediocre for my Chicago taste. There's a tv for sports that about sums it up.

After traveling all day was looking for a laid back place to eat dinner. Pulled up the Yelp app and spotted this place. So glad I did. The atmosphere is fantastic. The service was outstanding and the food was out of this works. From the yeast rolls with cinnamon butter to the Pretzel Burger. Everything was awesome. Had the white cheddar Mac and cheese too. All just made me want more. All for a little less then $15.00 with a soda. I would be here every week if I lived here

My husband and I met another couple for drinks tonight. Service was prompt, three of the four of us ordered tall drafts. Our drinks arrived promptly in dirty glasses, like I used my thumb nail and scraped nastiness off the glass. Not one, but all three were gross! When we brought it to the server's attention she didn't apologise or offer us a new drink... no her response was to ask if we would like the next round in bottles! No thank you! I just wanted my draft beer served in a clean glass.

Out of all branns locations this one is the worst. I was excited to come here because I love branns in grandville and now live closer to Leonard location and wanted to go there often but it's a very grungy feeling building that feels underground. The dining room was so dirty we had to move to the bar. There were many tables not cleaned and cups and water on the floor with no one looking like they were attempting to clean at all. The steak I got was cooked med well when I asked for med rare and then was taken away and eventually I got another one that was so rare I felt sick. The sides weren't warned again so they were cold and the steak was again not the right temperature. I will not be going to this location ever again which is sad because I was excited to have a branns close by.

I really enjoy their food but there is a manager there that I can't stand. she was a waitress for me once and made me and my girlfriend wait a nearly a half hr to get any service because she told us the girl covering our section shouldn't have gone home early. kind of d-bagish because we didn't have a waitress until she decided to stop being a lazy ass. then after she got a promotion or something somehow, I am assuming anyway, we waited over an hr to get served our food after we ordered and complained about it. she offered us a 10 dollar coupon for the next time we came in and acted like she was doing me a favor when all I wanted was to have some money knocked off that bill. she wouldn't allow it and I haven't been back in 8 months.

Food is disgusting. I used to live near by. Hubby wanted a steak so we end up going there. I couldn't fine one thing appealing on the menu. But I settled on cheese sticks because I was starving ( pregnant at the time) and I couldn't finish eating them. They were simply awful. But hey, if you love grossly over processed food out of a can or bag, then this joint is your kind of place

Sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon for lunch to have a Bloody Mary and 8 piece traditional wings with Honey BBQ. The sauce was very good and the wings were huge. They must have ordered their wings from mutant chickens: these things looked like ribs and were very meaty. I could only eat 4 wings and took the rest home. They still tasted great reheated 4 hours later. The Bloody Mary was just so-so; nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. I'll def be back for the wings though.

The service was excellent, and the food was a very good value. My only criticism is that the sizzler often is gristly.

Enjoyed a meal here while visiting Grand Rapids. Our meals were good and reasonably priced. We will probably go back when in this area - partially because it is something a little different the nationwide chains.

My husband and I LOVE this Brann's location! We go here on a very regular basis to both eat and drink. They have outstanding bartenders. Our drinks are always amazing. And the food is amazing as well! We had both dinner and drinks at Brann's on Monday, February 23. "Cool Brews and Hot Eats" was going on. We did our research ahead of time to see which participating restaurants had the best food choices for this event. Brann's was at the top of our list. My husband got the 8 oz. sirloin steak that was part of the "Cool Brews and Hot Eats" menu. It came with two sides of your choice, their amazing rolls, AND a 20-oz. Michigan beer of your choice, all for just $15.99! The steak was completely smothered with this incredible sauce/glaze made from Perrin Black Lager. My husband said it was by far the most delicious steak he has ever eaten! He said the sauce was incredibly AMAZING! I tried a little bit of the sauce, and I definitely agree--it was incredibly amazing. I wish that Brann's would make this part of their permanent menu. While we were there, Mark, the new-ish manager, approached us, and we were blown away by his professionalism and how much he genuinely seemed to care that we were 100% satisfied and well taken care of during our visit. He was extremely friendly, and we were very much impressed with him. So we HIGHLY recommend this Brann's location to anyone.

I haven't gone to Brann's in years as the last few times I did it was not a pleasant experience due to food quality. I thought I would give it another try for Mother's Day this year. I really shouldn't have. We went late in the day just as the dinner rush was finishing so we waited for a table but it wasn't really too crowded. We sat at a table in on the southeast corner of the building and the room was freezing. I could hear other customers complaining so I know it wasn't just me.Our family of 4 all ordered steaks medium rare with various toppings and sides and an appetizer. While the appetizer was fine the plates the waitress brought us to eat on were covered in grit, I assume from an overloaded dishwasher as they were quite warm and wet. But I could have let all of that go had the main course been decent. All four of our steaks came out severely under cooked, and the insides were cold. We sent them back. The waitress had us remove our sides and keep them for something to eat in the mean time, I would have preferred to have everything back in one piece and warm. The steaks came back and were cooked better but most of the onions and mushrooms, that we paid extra for, on 2 of them were gone. Mine had a boursin cheese sauce and it was curdled and dried up from reheating. At this point we were all hungry and didn't want to wait any longer for another repair. I would have thought that at some point a manager would have addressed us about our experience but the young man in the shirt and tie that appeared to be in charge did not, even though he appeared to have the time to do so. The waitress did apologize and I understand she can't see what the food looks inside but she apparently wanted us to go away because she didn't even ask if it we were interested in dessert. Won't make this mistake again.

This is an awful Brann's location. I was ready to chalk it up to a bad night and let it go at that, but after calling and emailing the company about our poor service and food at this location and getting zero response, it's time to take it to social media. We were on our way back to Muskegon after shopping out by Woodland Mall, and wanted to stop for dinner on the way since we were headed to a late movie. We came in the bar door. Two servers and a manager were standing at the end of the bar and didn't even acknowledge us. We aren't familiar with this location, and when we asked the way to the dining room, we didn't even get a verbal response, just a careless fling of the arm in the general direction. Once we proceeded into the dining area, we were ignored AGAIN, until a server deigned to ask us what we wanted. That ought to have been a clue to leave right then. We replied that we'd like a table. He gave a long suffering sigh and sat us in his section, next to an extremely loud group of 14 or so. We ordered, and apparently "appetizer" in this Brann's means "bring out the nachos and then rush out the steaks 2 minutes later". Our salads were delivered along with our steaks, we never got our rolls (after asking for them twice), and our steaks were... mealy, for lack of a better word, and overcooked. The rare came out with a warm pink center and the medium rare had no pink at all. They tasted pretty much like sawdust. The server rushed us out after all but ignoring us, and on our way out of the restaurant, we heard staff loudly discussing back of house business in service areas. I don't know if reviews or something were going on, but there's zero excuse for such poor service and sub-par food. I would say we would stick with the Muskegon Brann's from now on, but the company's lack of response to complaints, not even an acknowledgement of "we're sorry you had a bad experience", has left a bad taste in my mouth for eating at any of their locations. Avoid this Brann's location if you like service and food that actually tastes good.

Haven't been to a Branns since I was a kid, but this was definitely not what I remembered. It was actually a neat layout and was busy, so it definitely felt 'popular' which is sometimes a bad thing but it makes it feel like more of a night out at the right restaurant. The prices were pretty typical and the food was as good as it should be. Staff was pleasant on my visit but I was missing a few ingrediants off my HUGE burger, ie. onion straws. I was too hungry to care so it didn't bother me too much, nor did it affect my review. Oh, and the patron margarita special got us F'd.

The staff always makes you feel welcome; the food A-OK but not great. This is a hometown favorite for many so the appeal may be longevity not quality. The prices are decent but you get what you pay for in small portions. I also would like to know when I am being charged extra for a side (sweet potato fries instead of regular, etc.) rather than find it on the bill. Clearly I am out to dinner in these hard times so a couple of dollars isn't going to make or break me but it is the principle of the matter. Also, on my last particular visit, my friend and I ordered that same steak but both were cut vastly different. One had to be sent back to finish cooking. Note to all cooks - burning the outside of a steak does not cook the inside!
